Founded in 1978, Stout Management Company emerged at a transformative moment in Las Vegas. The city’s rapid growth in the 1980s spurred further development and turned Las Vegas into a broader mass-market tourism industry. The subsequent decades saw explosive population and economic growth. Under the leadership of Deborah Stout, Stout Management Company was there to meet the demand for sustainable and reputable multifamily properties.
By 1999, Stout had grown to 6,000 managed units in Southern Nevada. The growth continued in the 2000s, in spite of the economic challenges, unemployment, and housing crisis that had a significant impact on the city’s vitality. Throughout this period, Stout distinguished itself by maintaining operational excellence, preserving high returns for its client properties, and proving to be a trusted expert at navigating the downturn. Fast forward to today, Stout manages nearly 10,000 units, has expanded to Northern Nevada, and oversees a mixed portfolio of market-rate and affordable multifamily communities, as well as Build-to-Rent (BTR) properties. Stout’s portfolio is spread across all asset classes, with new build, existing and renovated properties. Stout’s client base includes local single-building owners, national and international syndicators, and nonprofit organizations such as Opportunity Village.
