he demand for furnished apartment homes are on the rise and becoming more than a temporary solution for people living in a certain area for more than a few months. Residents are finding it convenient to rent a home that is already furnished. A furnished apartment takes out the hassle of moving into a place and having to deal with the stress and expense of buying furniture. Residents can let go of the struggles dealing with the decor, color themes, sizing and more. Now they get to just sign the lease and move right on in. Despite the competition between vacation homes, Airbnb, and hotels, the market for furnished housing continues to rise.

Furnished housing was typically used for people who have been displaced due to fires, floods, etc. They were also very popular with people who were in the process of relocating or professionals only in town for an extended period. Now furnished homes are becoming popular among millennials, especially those who have left their parents’ home with very little furniture of their own. The leading types of renters for these apartments are corporations who lease these furnished apartments for employees on location. The furnished apartment trend is only rising and thanks to millennials, it probably isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
